BOGE KOMPRESSOREN is reporting considerable growth for 2006. The Company expects to report a turnover in excess of 85 million Euros
against 80 milllion during the previous year (+7%).
This means that the Bielefeld, Germany, based engineering company will report better growth than reported for their industry (+5%).
Compared to last year, the two-digit order income increase has meant full working capacity in the 40 hour working week.
The profit situation
is satisfactory: "We are producing the means to provide for the future of the company".
The export contribution remains stable and currently exceeds 55 % (previous year
58 %). China business accounts for 5 % of the total turnover, with Asia as a whole adding up to 15 %. Trade within the EU accounts for a good 75 % of the total turnover (the German domestic market
providing a sizeable 45 %).
Aside from a healthy domestic increase, BOGE Bielefeld is convinced that the BOGE success is due to international expansion
which is planned to continue in 2007 – by possibly duplicating the production capacity at the second production facility that was opened during 2004 in Shanghai, China.
In 2006, permanent offices were established in Perth, Australia and Dubai, U.A.E. in addition to the already existing eight subsidiaries.
BOGE currently employs around
550 people from 14 nations, with 380 working at the Bielefeld headquarters.
A two digit millions of Euros scheduled investment in a new logistics centre and machinery park commencing in 2007
marks a clear ongoing commitment to the Bielefeld Company headquarters location.
With the highest ever order backlog in its company history, this family run company is now preparing
to enter into its 100th trading year.
"With our continued orientation to the future we are prepared for the rapidly increasing competition and to face the toughest challenges
that brings. It is a matter of fact that globalisation tends to increase the number of competitors – especially in low wage countries. Nevertheless, with a good deal of strategic vision we will be able to design an umbrella to weather the storms ahead,” the management says.
