Xylem Water Solutions offers water and sewage services for industry and local authorities. Their solutions are used in areas such as construction and mine drainage, sewage treatment, and biogas harvesting.
One important aspect of this is regularly ventilating and rinsing the pressure pipes. This prevents anaerobic putrefaction and the formation of deposits and biofilm, which can cause unpleasant smells.
More than 250,000 Xylem pressure drainage stations are in use around the world for the ventilating and rinsing sewage networks. The power they require is produced by BOGE compressors. The output of these compressors is based on the size of the compressed pipes involved: Xylem uses the flexible BOGE SRD series which delivers between 200 and 1,000 l/min and has nominal motor ratings of between 1.5 and 6.3 kW.
These solutions have become successful worldwide, proving that BOGE and Xylem are a strong team together.
