WEEE Directive: proper recycling of electrical waste

The WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) governs the environmentally friendly take-back, treatment and recycling of electrical and electronic waste within the European Union. The aim is to recover valuable raw materials, reduce waste and avoid environmental pollution.

As a manufacturer, BOGE assumes responsibility throughout the entire product life cycle. Electrical and electronic components must not be disposed of in household waste but must be sent for separate, proper recycling.

Under the WEEE Directive, BOGE ensures that end-of-life equipment is:

taken back safely
recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner
in compliance with legal requirements
resources are conserved and hazardous substances are handled properly
