Energy efficiency and process reliability with compressed air and nitrogen

At Productronica in Munich, BOGE and INMATEC will be presenting efficient compressed air and nitrogen solutions for electronics manufacturing in Hall A4, Booth 442, from November 18 to 21. In an industry where process reliability, energy efficiency, and flexibility are crucial for competitiveness and quality, the strong duo offers efficient complete solutions from a single source – from planning to after-sales service.

Whether protective atmospheres, reflow, THT, or wave soldering: without a powerful compressed air and nitrogen supply, consistently high process quality and reliability are not possible. This is exactly where BOGE and INMATEC come in. At the leading trade fair for electronics manufacturing, they will be presenting flexible solutions for a wide range of industry requirements that help companies make their production processes future-proof and sustainable.

S-4 series compressors: compact, quiet, energy-optimized

At Productronica, BOGE will present the latest generation of S-4 screw compressors in the 37 to 75 kW power range. The compact model impresses with its quiet and reliable operation and particularly easy maintenance. All relevant parts are accessible from one side.

Thanks to generously dimensioned components and energy-saving IE4 and permanent magnet motors, energy consumption in all frequency-controlled models has been reduced by up to eight percent compared to the previous model. At the same time, the delivery volume has increased by almost nine percent, which is particularly advantageous for highly automated lines with variable compressed air requirements.

Intelligent control for maximum efficiency

The intelligent airtelligence provis 3 control system monitors, analyzes, and optimizes all components of the compressed air network.

“The software identifies potential savings, supports energy audits in accordance with ISO 50001, and enables improved remote monitoring,” says Frank Hilbrink, Product Manager at BOGE. “Photovoltaic systems can also be integrated to increase self-consumption of electricity.” This enables companies to permanently reduce their energy and operating costs.

On-site nitrogen of the highest purity

At the joint stand, INMATEC is presenting the “mixed double,” consisting of the PNK 150 nitrogen generator and the H₂KAT hydrogen catalyst. This two-stage process allows high-purity nitrogen (99.999 percent purity, 5.0) to be produced directly from the ambient air with up to 50 percent less energy.

It is ideal for process steps such as reflow, THT, and wave soldering. Users benefit from an independent, stable gas supply.

“Process costs for soldering can be reduced by up to 70 percent. In combination with an in-house power supply via photovoltaics and a nitrogen storage system, savings of up to 90 percent are even possible,” explains Jean-Pierre Sevrain, General Manager at INMATEC.

The system is eligible for BAFA funding and offers maximum flexibility for all industrial requirements.
