Otto Boge founded the company in 1907 and began by selling door closers manufactured by the brother of the company founder. After the First World War, Otto Boge quickly made a name for himself with special tools for the automotive industry, which was still in its infancy, and with motorcycles. BOGE ultimately became a specialist in compressors and compressed air systems – and is now one of the leading suppliers worldwide in this field. Wolf D. Meier-Scheuven, great grandson of the company founder and Entrepreneur of the Year 2017, has now been managing the fortunes of the company successfully for 22 years.
